Being your own boss and seeing the rewards of all your hard work are two great reasons for franchising. But the best reason is being able to share your success with the community you serve. Larry Raikes has always believed in giving back to the local community and participating on every level of community service.
Over the years, Larry’s Giant Subs has sponsored a number of charity benefits, including two Larry’s Giant Subs Charity Golf Tournaments. In 2000, the tournament raised over $10,000 in support of the Jacksonville Youth Crisis Center, and in September of 2001, Larry’s was able to raise over $25,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network. Larry’s Giant Subs has also co-sponsored the Community Nutcracker Ballet, held each Holiday Season, and continues to sponsor a Teacher of the Month at area schools.
In 2002 Larry’s Giant Subs, in cooperation with Sysco Foods, sponsored the Pop Warner Championship Games where we fed 5000 kids a day before the games. And in 2007, we fed several hundred kids a day at the Maurice Jones Drew Football Mini-Camp.
For the victims of Katrina, Larry’s donated a portion of the sales to the American Red Cross.
Larry’s Giant Subs actively encourages all our Franchisees to stay involved in
their communities. Not only is it important for all of us to have a great relationship with our customers, but community involvement is an excellent way to show your appreciation for all their support.
